Items That May Require Special Disposal (Possible Fee)

Some items require special disposal methods due to environmental regulations. These may include:

• Electronics (computers, TVs, gaming consoles, cell phones)

• Aerosol cans

• Propane tanks or cylinders

• Caustic or chemical materials

• Cleaning agents

• Refrigerant-containing appliances (AC units, refrigerators, freezers)

• Specialty batteries such as lithium or nickel-cadmium batteries

If your load contains these items, we’ll let you know about any disposal fees ahead of time.

Items We Cannot Remove

For safety and legal reasons, we cannot haul certain hazardous materials, including:

• Paints and paint solvents

• Automotive fluids (motor oil, antifreeze, etc.)

• Pesticides, herbicides, and insecticides

• Mercury-containing items (thermometers, fluorescent bulbs, switches)

• Ammunition or explosives

• Asbestos materials

• Car batteries

• Radioactive materials (some smoke detectors fall into this category)
